Heirloom Vineyards was conceived in vintage 2000, when a young winemaking student caught the eye of a silly old wine judge. A love story ensued inspired by two vows: To preserve the best of tradition, the old world of wine and our unique old vineyards, and to champion the best clones of each variety, planted in the most appropriate sites, embracing the principles of organic and biodynamic farming.

Price’s No.4 is a blend of the best wines from our 2017 vintage. Premium quality barrels have been singled out and artfully blended to create this unique and succulent wine. The wine is delightfully fruited and seductively complex on the nose showing dark fruit richness together with nuances of warm spice, cedar and violet. The palate displays excellent weight and depth, wonderfully complemented by succulent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, superbly structured by fine chalky tannins. The 2022 Estate Shiraz is hand crafted from grapes grown on blocks 1, 9 and 10 of the Lloyd Brothers McLaren Vale Estate. Each parcel was selectively picked and fermented in small open fermenters, then basket pressed to new and seasoned French oak. After 14 months the best barrels were selected to create the Estate Shiraz. This wine shows lovely rich, ripe, dark berry fruit on the palate with overtones of mocha, spice, black pepper and liquorice. Approachable in its youth this wine will happily age for 10+ years.
