The premium fruit parcels used to produce this stunning Old Bush Vine Grenache were handpicked from the company owned Katunga block and Prisoner of War vineyard. These grapes were then crushed and fermented in open concrete vats, followed by daily pump over. The juice obtained after primary fermentation was drained and basket pressed. Post-maturation in American oak barriques, this beautiful Grenache flaunts a bright purple hue with a crimson haze. The perfumed nose exudes elegant aromas of cherries, chocolate, spice and rose petal. A sip of the wine presents enticing flavours of black plum, sweet, spicy raspberry, fruitcake and toffee apple. These beautiful characters are balanced by subtle savoury oak notes, ending the wine in a captivating finish. It tastes excellent with veal kidneys, grilled bratwurst and young Gouda cheese.

Bright and perfumed with chewy earth and spice characters, this is a fine example of what an evenly spread palate tastes like. A wine with a backbone of old bush vine Grenache planted in the 1940s. This wine will continue to evolve with cellaring, but can also be enjoyed in its youth alongside barbequed meats. The grapes from each block were hand-picked, de-stemmed and mechanically sorted. Whole berries were then transferred to open-top fermenters. We cold soaked the fermentation tanks for 5 days until the onset of wild fermentation, utilising the yeasts that naturally come in with the grapes from the vineyard. The open fermenters underwent a careful regime of plunging and drain and returns. The 2016 growing season was marked by a dry spring and was headed for a very early and compressed season. We had some mild summer rains which slowed the sugar ripening of the vines down, and helped give brightness and fleshiness to vintage. One of the very few examples of Carignan produced in Australia. This is the first release of this wine from Hither & Yon and it's really approachable already.Bright purple in the glass. Perfumed nose of black cherry, plum and black pepper. Light to medium weight with a fresh core of fleshy black fruits and tart red berries with good balance of acid and tannin crunch. An excellent young-drinker.

Lifted and fragrant with floral notes on the nose. A full flavoured Shiraz Cabernet with aromas of dark red fruits, freshly crushed mint and a fine grained tannin structure. It's an exceptional representation of two of McLaren Vales most popular varieties.

Rich and opulent displaying aromas of deep plum and black cherry with hints of complex herb and delicate oak spice. The palate is full flavoured yet elegant with dark fruits and bright red berries, framed by firm, structural tannins and moreish acidity.
