Since the first release in 2002, Fraser Gallop Estate have gone from strength to strength, picking up a Jimmy Watson Medal along the way. The Cabernet Merlot is a lovely example of the blend which is so at home in Margaret River. Leafy mulberry on the nose with cassis in the background, and a soft , flavoursome palate. Delicious!

A fine balanced wine, with a long palate that shows finesse.Ø WINEMAKING Each parcel of fruit is gently crushed and transferred into small open fermenters. Before fermentation starts the juice is concentrated by removing 15% of the volume. This facilitates a greater intensity of flavour. Heading down boards keep the cap submerged for better skin contact. The fermenters are temperature controlled to provide optimum conditions. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over. Wine is then transferred to French oak barrels for maturation.Ø TYPICAL ANALYSIS 13.5% AlcoholØ FOOD MATCHING Barbecued meats, lamb, beef, chocolate and strong flavoured cheeses.MEDALS GOLD Qantas Wine Show2015 SILVER Royal Hobart Wine Show 2015 SILVER National Cool Climate Wine Show 2016

Flowstone Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc

Appearance: Vibrant green gold. Aroma: Punchy guava with white flesh nectarine, and a hint of passionfruit pulp lift from the glass. There is an underlying lime zest note that helps to support these exotic characters. Citrus and subtle creamy elements help to complex the wine. This is a multi-layered, and engaging nose.Palate: Ripe nectarines, guava, some flinty highlights, with a lime zest finish. The palate has wonderful textures, while retaining a juiciness of fruit and lightness. There is great intensity of fruit, and fantastic length of flavour. The wine finished with a chalky mineral acidity, but subtle fruit flavours linger with this cleansing finale. The length of palate is the real key here - this is a Sauvignon Blanc that can be ruminated upon, but also just enjoyed.
