Hawkshead was the first home in New Zealand of Denis Marshall’s ancestor, naturalist William Swainson, Fellow of the Royal Society, who arrived to make his home here in 1841. Catalina Sounds is a truly classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! Think back back to the early days when Kiwi Savvy was just starting to hit our shelves and how gob-smacked we were over the quality, vibrancy and sheer drinkability of such an aromatic wine. Catalina Sounds still exudes all of those fantastic qualities that we all fell in love with. Perfumed aromas of gooseberry with hints of tropical fruit, the palate follows with fresh and zingy characters that display ripe passionfruit and citrus flavours all complimented by lingering acidity.

Approachable, generous and flavoursome with a silken elegance. Berry fruits come to the fore with gentle dried herb notes in the background. Medium bodied, the palate is finely structured with lovely soft lingering tannins which integrate perfectly with the soft supportive acid and plush fruit.

Pinot Gris really loves Marlborough. The Isabel Estate team always ensure that each vine is treated to the right amount of sunshine, for perfect harvests of superbly ripened Pinot Gris. This wine has rich aromas of nectarine, white pear, clover honey and hints of coconut.

Isabel Estate is an always much sought after Sauvignon Blanc and is regarded as one of the jewels of Marlborough. Winemaking inputs such as barrel ferment and lees ageing contribute to it's complexity.
