Formed in 2005, Artisans of Barossa is a group of wine producers with a like-minded approach to winemaking and wine enjoying. This wine is blended from barrels selected by the winemakers from each of their cellars. On the nose, there are aromas of dark plum and chocolate with hints of cardamom pod, clove, aniseed and cracked black pepper. The palate is rich with dark fruits and dark chocolate supported by a long savoury line of gentle tannin. The wine finishes smooth and long in the classic style of great Barossa Shiraz. It allows a pre-view of the vintage quality to come and keeps the quality of the Single vineyard wines as high as possible. Double Barrel Shiraz has a full and generous palate with a beguiling mix of sweet red fruits and dark chocolate indicative of its origins as Barossa Shiraz. Subtle toasty vanillin derives from aging in traditional French and American oak wine barrels. The careful use of aged Scotch whisky barrels for finishing has added complex nuances of almond-husks and also softened the dense tannins to yield an incredible smoothness.

Our aim is to harness the contrasting characters derived from the soil profile and climate variations across these four sites to present a seamless expression of Greenock Creek wine. The nose is rich with blueberry & black cherry which flow through to the palate which is framed by soft and silken tannins. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.

Hentley Farm is a boutique, single estate vineyard that focuses on producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines reflective of their exceptional Barossan terrior. 'The Marl' takes its name from the fruit grown on red clay loam over marl (a friable earthy deposit consisting of clay and limestone) which reduces the water and nutrient availability producing low crops and rich flavours. True to the style, the Shiraz is layered with berry fruits with hints of dark chocolate, earth and subtle spice. While full-bodied the palate is soft with lovely lingering finish.
