This new release from renowned Rioja producer Marques de Riscal marks a stylistic evolution in the estates signature style. An atypical crianza from the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, this Tempranillo expresses all its fruitiness and youthfulness, with a moderate presence of wood that provides good balance and persistence. A fresh, fruity wine with a flavour profile reminiscent of red fruits subtly accompanied by aromas of wood, coconut and vanilla. Full on the palate, persistent and with character, a true reflection of the personality of the grapes from this terroir.

Viña Real dates back to 1920, specialising in the smallest and northernmost sub-region of Rioja, Rioja Alavesa. The winery's name was inspired by the proximity of its vineyards to the 16th century Camino Real road. A blend of 90% Tempranillo, and 10% Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano. Warm, ripe notes of red cherries and blackberries are supported by spicy notes of clove, roasted coffee and vanilla from ageing in new and 1 year old barrels. A rich and generous wine, with a great balance of ripe fruit and spice.

The inspiration from the Barossas best old vine Grenache vineyards created Annexus, an addition to our Plexus blend. Annexus is a small unique blend selected from our best old low yielding Grenache vineyards, made only in the best years. Winemaking: Fermentation in small open top fermenters incorporating 20% whole bunches. Oak Maturation: 100% barrel maturated for 12 months, in older French oak hogsheads (300-litre barrels). Colour: Vibrant purple-red. Nose: Perfumed fruit aromatics complexed with savoury spice and charcuterie notes. Palate: Generous and rich and structured with texture and impressive flavour intensity. An array of red fruits, plum and raspberry fill the palate.

The Rozas 1er cru Garnacha is, as the name says, classified premier cru by Comando G. Elegant and poised, this wine is a step up in classification and altitude, sitting above the Rozas Villages vineyards close to the ceiling beyond which growing grapes isn't really viable. The brick-red tinge to the colour bring Langhe to mind, Nebbiolo specifically, and there are more hints of that in the glass. The colour and the approachability owe a lot to the greater presence of silt midst the layers of granite. For the 1er cru, the vines are older, the soils are lighter and the altitude of the vineyard is higher than the village showing that signature highwire Sierra de Gredos/Comando G acidity.

Comando G La Bruja de Rozas The La Bruja de Rozas is a Villages style wine. The name translates to the witch of Rozas. Superstitions and rumours abound in the area where near ever-present and eerie cloud cover that sits. The fruit is sourced from several vineyards around near the village of Rozas. And there is more than a hint of Villages Burgundy about the La Bruja. Expect dried cherries and herb notes on the nose and pinpoint signature Gredos/Comando G acidity. Red ripe cherry color with violaceous hues. Intense on the nose, typical aromas of the Tinto Fino can be perceived, such as mature black fruits, blackberry and currant. The subtle oak notes appear in the background. On the mouth its intense with lively tannins, but mature enough to leave a gentle and mellow sensation on the mouth. This wine is balanced and has a persistent acidity.

Luciano Sandrone crafts wines of profound integrity, purity and deep expression. The Barbera d'Alba is matured for 15 months in wooden barrels, a good part of which are new, which balances the natural fruity and fresh texture of the wine with soft tannins.
