Bin 23 Pinot Noir is shaped by Tasmania’s cool-climate conditions, offering lifted aromatics and fine structure. Wild raspberry, caperberry and floral spice give way to savoury notes of bresaola and juniper, wrapped in graphite tannins. Light-bodied yet complex, it’s a contemporary expression of Pinot Noir in the Penfolds Collection.

Tasmanian Pinot Noir very rarely leaves the state! This bight, vibrant and elegant gem not only comes from Tasmania but is made for us exclusively at the great Josef Chromy estate. A thrilling must-try red, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. Don’t miss it!

Pinot noir sourced from the Coal River and Derwent valleys in Tasmania and the Upper Yarra Valley in Victoria. Bright ruby with ripe dark and red cherry fruits, raspberry coulis and wild strawberry with hints of leaf litter, spice, softly spoken vanillin oak, char siu, mushroom broth, amaro herbs and wildflowers. Graceful and pure with excellent tension between fruit and mineral acidity, fading off slowly in a fan of spiced red fruits.

Select parcels of basket-pressed fruit and time maturing in oak barrel give this Pinot Noir a subtle complexity; its rich, savoury and toasty palate shining through aromas of juicy red currants, raspberries, and spice.

The palate for this Dalrymple Pinot Noir has immediate appeal of sweet red fruits, balanced with a tight tannin structure and a long savoury finish. The presence of dried Italian herbs and floral rose notes on the nose, lift and add to the complexity.

Eileen Hardy was a pioneer of the Australian wine industry and the inspiration beind this iconic range of wines, including this inaugural release of a Pinot Noir. Hailing from northern Italy, the Lubiana family have been winemakers for generations. Since 1990 Stefano has continued his family's legacy in the pristine vineyards of Tasmania. The fruit for this wine comes from some of the best vineyards in Derwent River. Stefano's care and meticulous attention to detail, result in a wine of both power and elegance.
