Finishes with firm tannins and good length.

The Angullong vineyards are located on the southern lower slopes of the Orange region at the foothills of Mount Canobolas, an ancient volcano. Angullong’s topography is best described as dramatic. The country ranges from undulating to steep hills with spectacular limestone escarpments that radically descend to the fast flowing Belubula River. This is an exceptional young white wine – screams of the affinity of this variety with the Angullong site. Delicate and picked at the optimum moment – the themes of pears and minerals continue through the palate with no hint of cloy.

Verdelho makes an awesome alternative to Sauvignon Blanc – zesty fresh and tropical it’s a real crowd-pleaser. A lovely and unusual Sauvignon Blanc from Hawkes Bay. It is barrel-fermented with a touch of Semillon and Sauvignon Gris. This wine has aromas of citrus blossom, pear and stone fruit and will evolve in the bottle for five years from harvest.

Delightful melon and fig aroma, fresh stonefruit flavours and long citrusy happily ever after finish.

On the nose, intense gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas of the Sauvignon Blanc are balanced by herbaceous and freshly cut grass of the Semillon. The palate of this Houghton wine is refine with a length balanced crisp finish.

The fruit for this Riesling was grown on a vineyard in the Orange region, which is situated 1000m above sea level. In the glass: Pale lemon straw.On the nose: Pure lime lift with a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate: Intense and pure with a zesty core of lemon and lime, a quinine-like mouth-feel and long crisp acidity on to the almost chalky finish. Retrained yet powerful.

The Gardener is pale straw yellow with a slight green hue. The nose is vibrant. An elegant yet generous wine, it displays lifted nashi pear, nectarine and citrus with a spicy backbone. There is a lovely texture to the palate without taking away from the freshness and purity of the fruit.
