Château Lascombes Margaux
Château Lascombes was a small property by Bordeaux standards up until 1951, which then grew to beyond its means until the most recent ownership change which has seen better fruit selection and a creation of a second label to produce an estate wine of purity and concentrated flavours. Using the talents of Dr Alain Reynaud and Michel Rolland the wines continue to impress in recent years, namely this spectacular 2009 vintage which is proving to be one of the greatest vintages in the past 100. Even at this early stage the Lascombes looks superb with balance between power and opulence treading a near perfect line.

Typically, this vibrant and juicy wine is pale coloured with intense grapefruit, lime, herb garden, camomile aromas, lovely fresh grapefruit, tropical fruit, lemon curd flavours, fine lacy textures and superb cutting acidity. The silk screened flower bottle neatly captures and sells the floral aromatics and prettiness of the wine. This is very much a warmer climate style with plenty of expression, freshness and flavour. Domaine de Sauzet Jeanne et Andrè Syrah
Unusual and elegant wine... A 100% unfiltered Syrah, not aged in barrels, a pure and clean juice. This wine is named after François Massol's parents, the chief winemaker at Domaine de Sauzet. Pure and raw, this powerful red wine is the perfect expression of the Languedoc Syrah. The nose remind liquorice and black pepper. On the palate we have silky tannin and black fruits with a long aftertaste.
L'Abeuradou Les Causses Calcaires
Elegant and harmonious, this wine is a very singular expression of the calcareous terroir of north-western Minervois. The calcareous soils characterize the wines with blackcurrant aromas combined with redcurrants, vanilla, and chocolate leading into a silky smooth palate, with the hedonism of dark chocolate held in check by an undertow of fresh minerality. The finish is long and complex.
Chevalier de La Gardie Blanc Minervois (Marsanne)
Perfumed yet savory on the nose and medium to medium-full bodied on the palate, with aromas of fresh apricots and honeyed beeswax, as it is made from Marsanne. This wine is somewhat exotic and is famously paired with local cheeses in their home Minervois region of western Languedoc in southern France.
