Doudet Naudin French Pinot Noir
Doudet Naudin, a Burgundy fine wine producer since 1849, makes the best use of its know-how to produce this agreeable wine. The fruit was sourced from vineyards in the Aude Valley near the Pyrenees. The wine is vinified in the traditional way using controlled temperatures and resulting in a fresh and fruity wine full of delicacy and harmony.
L'Artisan Sauvignon Blanc
LArtisan Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious fruit-driven wine with expressive tropical fruit, limes citrus aromas, ample tropical fruit, lemon curd flavours, supple textures and juicy acidity. The grapes are grown in the undulating landscape of the Languedoc Roussillon region. Warm sunny growing conditions are moderated by cooler nights. The fresh Tramontone breeze which blows in a south-easterly direction, carries dry cold air from the Atlantic Ocean across the vineyards and acts like an air conditioner in the Summer heat. Minimal-intervention and organic principles are employed in the vineyards and cool fermentation techniques promote varietal aromatics, suppleness and clarity of fruit. Jean Claude Mas has created a modern style that brings the latest in technology but also reflects the artisanal nature of viticulture and wine making. The brand motif harks back to childhood times when Jean Claude Mas took out his mothers moped into the vineyards and forest tracks around his home. LArtisan Sauvignon Blanc is a great stand-alone aperitif wine, or pair with summer salads, grilled chicken, bouillabaisse, BBQ prawns and grilled white fish.
L'Abeuradou Les Causses Calcaires
Elegant and harmonious, this wine is a very singular expression of the calcareous terroir of north-western Minervois. The calcareous soils characterize the wines with blackcurrant aromas combined with redcurrants, vanilla, and chocolate leading into a silky smooth palate, with the hedonism of dark chocolate held in check by an undertow of fresh minerality. The finish is long and complex.
Beau-Charmois Pinot Noir
As the name suggests, Beau-Charmois comes from the word "charm", which expresses the seductive nature of this wine. Selected from premium vineyard blocks on limetone soils in the Pays d'Oc, close to the Pyreneen mountain slopes. This vineyard is strongly influenced by refreshing breezes and warm sunshine, creating one of the longest growing seasons in the Languedoc region. This exceptional climate and geographical location are a paradise for this world-class varietal. Deep crimson in appearance, with plumy fruit and spicy notes of clove, strawberries and cream, and sweet dark cherries. On the palate it is fresh and juicy with a rich mid-palate and velvety tannins. A very well balanced, fruit-forward Pinot. A crowd-pleaser.
Chevalier de La Gardie Blanc Minervois (Marsanne)
Perfumed yet savory on the nose and medium to medium-full bodied on the palate, with aromas of fresh apricots and honeyed beeswax, as it is made from Marsanne. This wine is somewhat exotic and is famously paired with local cheeses in their home Minervois region of western Languedoc in southern France.
Aussières
Blackcurrants, slate, crushed stone and berries with hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied, bright and racy. Vivid at the end. A blend of syrah, carignan, mourvedre and grenache. Drink now. James Suckling
