Made from one of the oldest Languedoc grapes, Belardent is an outstanding white wine from the Mediterranean sea shores. Carefully crafted according to Appellation winemaking specification, it also benefits from the winemaking history of its production area. Refreshing, it has lovely aromas of citrus and mineral flavours that will get along perfectly with seafood delights! The Picpoul de Pinet winegrowing area runs along the southern French coast, separated from the waves of the Mediterranean only by the Etang de Thau. This lagoon is Frances second largest lake. Harboured by the town of Sète, it is famous for its delicious oysters that are the perfect combination for a Picpoul de Pinet. The Picpoul de Pinet terroir consists of a triangle bounded by Agde, Pézenas and Sète : a limestone plateau basking in the rising sun covered with highly perfumed garrigue, rows of vines, and scattered pine groves. Thanks to its terroir, the region produces mineral wines with lovely and refreshing citrus aromas.

Pale yellow with golden highlights. A well-balanced nose of passionfruit, pineapple, and peach evolving to buttery notes, coconut milk and honey. The palate is fresh and incisive with good amplitude and creamy persistence, followed by floral, menthol aromas, and notes of mango, toasted bread, honey and vanilla. Almost always made entirely of Merlot, the 2009 is one such vintage which is 100% single varietal. Château Latour is the epitome of power and bold concentration that is Pauillac. With a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, the brilliant close knit tannin complimenting the vibrant cassis driven fruit is something to behold. It is often said that buyers of Latour worry about the wines they purchase will outlive them quite considerably such is the pedigree of such a wine. This is a definite concern for the 2009 vintage which is being reported as being the very best in living memory. The wine itself is a masterclass in concentration and power only with a robust and joyful front and mid-palate. Notes of blackberry and dark plum dance along with secondary characters of subtle oak and pencil shavings. A rambunctuous back palate that is almost thick and viscous that is truly forboding.
