This wonderfully elegant Shiraz shows intense, pristine, blackberry fruit and ripe, silky tannins. It almost has a Pinot Noir elegance to it and, luckily, the quality of future vintages will only be getting better too as Voyager's new clones come on line.

Fleshy red fruits of strawberries are apparent on the nose - this is bright, fresh and very tempting. The red fruited theme continues on the palate with savoury notes keeping the palate balanced. Cleansing acidity creates a crisp and cleansing finish. In typical Rose fashion, extremely moreish!

This wine is largely sourced from a single block of vines planted with Tempranillo, Shiraz and Merlot. With aromas of ripe, fresh summer fruit berries with a hint of lifted violet notes, this is a dry Rosé with balanced acidity. A medium-bodied wine displaying raspberry and strawberry fruit flavours on the palate with a satisfying persistent finish.

A deep crimson red which opens with the classical Margaret River nose...fresh varietal notes of bright berried fruits, briar and sea spray, followed by wafts of chocolate and mocha with subtle spiced oak aromas. A medium to full bodied palate shows cassis and Satsuma plum characteristics, leading into the sweet mid-palate depth of chocolate and mocha, finishing with defined talents. The wine is elegant and shows great length of flavour and well-structured palate line. 'Pure and fragrant, expect a nose layered with cassis, blackcurrant, leaf and dusty spice rack spices, while in your mouth it's pure, beautifully structured, fine and dry. This medium bodied and elegant wine is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon enhanced with a small percentage of classic varietals. Following fermentation and extended maceration, the wine has been matured in new and old French oak barriques, producing a complex blend of Margaret River fruit characters including cassis, eucalypt, capsicum, mulberry and plum with secondary notes of chocolate and cedar. 93/100 James Halliday Wine Companion 2016.

Vibrant youthful brilliant hue of good depth. Ripe cherry and plum fruits with chocolatey influences. The palate displays good depth of fruit concentration, ripe sweet fruit fleshiness in the mid-palate and good flavour extension.

Margaret River is renowned for its premium Siraz wines. This example emanates from one of Wilyabrup's a multi star rated Halliday Winereis. The fruit was harvested in Mid-April when the skin tannins are ripe and the flavours are bold. The whole berries add some spice and complexity to the wine. Aromas of glazed plums, cloves and cracked peppercorns give way to a rich palate with hints of citrus blossom, oyster shell and vanilla pod compliment a long and complex finish, further exhibiting a bright fruit core and pure longevity of pristine tannin. The fruit is de-stemmed with no crushing of the berries so that we begin whole berry fermentation. The whole berries seem to add some spice and complexity to the wine. Our Shiraz seems to enjoy relatively cool ferments, plenty of aeration and gentle treatment. The wine is gently pressed of skins, near dryness, based on taste.The bubbly purple wine finishes its fermentation in the presence of mainly French oak, with the smallest portion of American oak. The wine is racked when it has finished its malolactic fermentation, and then once or twice more over the season based on its individual requirements.
