The wine shows lifted citrus and stone fruit aromas with nuances of toast and mushroom. The palate shows great structure, elegance and persistence of flavour.

Armand de Brignac Champagne, colloquially known as the Ace of Spades, is well known for it's striking bottle design, references in pop culture and its unquestionable quality. Brut Gold is the flagship cuvýe of the range and the first style ever produced under the label. Its unmistakable gold-plated bottles are decorated at a single site in France's Cognac region and are fitted with pewter labels hand-applied to the surface of the bottle. The wine itself is marvelously complex and full-bodied, the bouquet is both fresh and lively, with light floral notes. The wine is spectacularly fragrant, with the powerful aromatic coterie on show (the bright cherry and rose petal character that made us fall in love with RIcky's wines in the first place). It's then quite savoury and earthen on the palate, with the pin-boned texture of Tassie Pinot tannin's telling us that time will be a great friend to this wine. Exemplary stuff, with a promise of more to come. The TMV18 Pinot Noir features the fundamental components of the Two Tonne house style. It has a whole bunch backbone, 25% inclusion, which works in combination with a fresh, fruit driven lift due to partial carbonic maceration. A very gentle approach to fermentation is followed by maturation for 9 months in a mix of seasoned and new (15%) new French oak, on lees. Racked and blended, this wine was bottled without fining or filtration. Two Tonne Tasmania began in 2013, when a young local winemaker, nudged into the tightly held Tamar Valley by sourcing literally a couple of tonnes of Pinot Noir. This project is all about eking out small parcels of fruit, giving them lots of love, finding their true potential. Previously Winemaker at Bay of Fires, Ricky Evans' solo project is sourced from a diverse range of interesting & unique vineyards in the Tamar Valley and East Coast of Tasmania. Most of these are either leased and managed by himself, or he has a strong connection and involvement with. Two Tonne Tasmania was a Top 12 finalist in Young Gun of Wine in 2016, 2017 & 2018, and took home the peoples choice award in 2016.

A fresh, lively palate of green apple and lemon with hints of toasted biscuit. Pinot Noir (67%) and Chardonnay (33%) sourced from the Josef Chromy's estate vineyard at Relbia in northern Tasmania. Whole bunches of hand-picked fruit are gently pressed to ensure delicate flavours. After primary ferment the wine is tiraged with no malolactic fermentation and disgorged after 18 months on yeast lees to retain crisp, fresh flavours.
