Beurrot by Kooyong is comprised of two Pinot Gris parcels: the tiny original 0.24 hectare section annexing the Meres block, and the all-Pinot Gris Beurrot vineyard, which at 2.74 hectares, provides the majority of the fruit. The Beurrot vineyard is planted to a density of 5600 vines per hectare. The grapes are gently whole-bunch pressed directly into all-used French oak barriques, where fermentation takes place without inoculation. After fermentation the wine is aged on lees (without battonage) for 10 months. It is bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.

Hailing from Merricks North, Quealy Tussie Mussie Pinot Gris is a generous wine with a luscious stone fruit palate; honey, heavy bottomed pears, and creamy. Six months on lees assist generous mouth feel and palate weight. Balanced with natural acidity.

Grown in the Waihopai and Awatere Valleys. The Gris has aromas of white fleshed stonefruit and fresh pear, with a little vanilla pod, cardamom and citrus zest. The aroma is very floral and complex offering ripe pear, dried herbs and flint. There is excellent fruit weight and texture on the palate, where the full ripe pear flavours lead to a fresh, spicy and long finish. Our Pinot Gris is made from fruit grown on our Tiger and Sinclair vineyards in the Parkburn area of Cromwell. All the grapes are hand harvested and fermented in small lots in stainless steel tanks helping to retain fruit purity and finesse. The wine is full, dry and textural, it displays excellent fruit structure, intensity and mineral length.

Bright red with a purple hue, a glass of Estate Vineyards Syrah is like opening a spice box. It overflows with cherry, blackberry, boysenberry, thyme, pepper and the irresistible scents of Black Doris plum and vanilla. There are floral lift and charm here, but also a supple palate with luxurious savoury fruit and enticing notes of red and black liquorice. The perfume and depth of this syrah are matched by its fine, textural expression, balance and soft, even tannins. Food match with a wonderful accompaniment to all red meats, savoury and lightly spiced dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, as well as soft cheeses.

For winemaker and co-founder Rob Cameron, the Invivo range is all about taking some of the elegance from the old world and putting that style into our amazing grapes, all the while offering wines that are fun and a bit unique. Rob has a colourful winemaking background – learning his craft in unique destinations such as Cyprus, Bulgaria and Hungary before moving on to France, Spain and Italy. He learnt skills (and some wild stories) from these places that few could compare.

Fruit flavours are in the cool to moderate spectrum of citrus, white flowers, ripe grapefruit and melon. The style is mid-weight with elegant oak nicely tucked in, providing texture and lingering flavours of cashew, roasted almond and gun flint. The structure has a tight shape with the finesse and concentration that are hallmarks of Trinity Hill Chardonnay. It displays delicacy but richness and the beautifully linear acidity makes it a fantastic match with food. An excellent partner with white meats and seafood dishes.
