Golden Chardonnay fruit from the Louis vineyard is cool fermented in tanks followed by extended lees contact prior to bottling. By not utilising the Burgundy technique of fermentation in oak casks this wine highlights the pure Chardonnay aromas and flavours of stone, citrus and melon fruits. The mouth-filling, smooth, fruit-salad flavours are harmoniously balanced by a refreshing crisp long finish.

Strelley Farm Estate is located in the heart of Tasmania's Coal River Valley wine region and is connected to the historic town of Richmond by the oldest bridge in Australia, the Richmond Bridge. This Chardonnay echoes the fruits, flowers and spices depicted on the label. Ripe stonefruit, citrus, and almond spice create a truly elegant example of this variety.

This very rare wine is a co fermented “field blend” of the rare German variety Schönburger and our 1974 planting of Riesling. There are intense aromas of fruit and flower. Flavours abound, with Jasmine, gardenia, ripe grapefruit, honeydew, rockmelon, hints of wet-stone minerality and phenomenally clear golden delicious apple notes!
