The rugged and remote Eden Valley region is renowned for the production of pristine Riesling, and the iconic Mountadam winery is one of the top producers in the region.Pale lemon. Lifted lemon, lime and white flower. Tight, crisp and minerally with a succulent yet pristine core of citrus fruit, firm lemony acidity and a long precise finish.

Mountadam can boast being the “foremost producer of chardonnay in the Eden Valley” (Halliday), but their deeply layered, textural and complex reds are also creating great excitement amongst the trade. Try for yourself here with this 'exuberant' yet underrated Cabernet showing lovely florals of violets, dark brambly fruits and fine supple tannins. "A morass of mulched leaf, anise and black currant, dabbed with olive. A lovely, energetic feel, finishing with verdant cigar box tannins and a whiff of mint to menthol. Vinification: Night harvest. Traditional vinification with cold settling. Tasting: A brilliant golden yellow colour with silver highlights. The nose is intense with fruity and floral notes, offering a lovely freshness. On the palate, it's ample and lively, expressing itself beautifully. Expect a harmonious blend of fruit and floral flavours, with a refreshing crispness. The ideal serving temperature is between 8-10°C. This wine pairs wonderfully as an aperitif or with marinated fish. Originating from IGP Oc, this white wine is crafted from Chardonnay and Viognier grapes, boasting an alcohol content of 12.5%. It belongs to the Elegance range.

Henschke Julius is a classic expression of Eden Valley Riesling. An almost perfect vintage has provided the citrus blossom and lime aromas and an intense minerally structure which will develop for a decade at least.

Conceived as a white wine development program, the Bin 51 Riesling soon became one of Penfolds' star performers. Eden Valley is an obvious choice of region for Riesling due to the higher altitude and cool climate. The wine offers delicate aromas of fresh cut apples and pears with a twist of lemon and minerality towards the end. A great deal of fruits and acidity makes for an interesting white wine with propensity to age gracefully if carefully cellared.
