Ferngrove Wines, in Frankland River, is one of the world's most isolated wine estate. While this isolation makes the logistics of wine-making tough, it is also what makes Ferngrove wines distinctly different. This Chardonnay is aromatic, complex lemon zest, pear skin and pink grapefruit in harmony with complex toasty French oak and toasted nuts. Piercing grapefruit, lime and pear with a creamy texture and vanilla French oak with lingering mineral acidity.

La Belle Pierre are contemporary wines from earthy Southern France; grown and cared for traditionally yet they embrace technology in the winery to offer a good quaffing, uncomplicated yet juicy wine.

An outstanding modern Australian Riesling with great cellaring potential. Careful winemaking allows the premium fruit from the pristine Eden Valley to take centre stage. This vintage of the White Rock displays freshly cut peacharomas with notes of citrus stem and lavender. The palate is well structured with flavours of citrus, white peach and macadamia. 2019 Blue Rock Wines Reserve Eden Valley ChardonnayThe fruit for this wine comes from our cool climate Eden Valley vineyard. It was harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented at low temperatures to retain the varietal characteristics. It displays the clean and lifted varietal nose of guava and lemongrass followed by a crisp palate of green apples, stone fruit and rockmelon. A small portion (25%) of this wine completed its fermentation in oak barrels. This has imparted some nutty and honeyed characters to the wine. Well suited to most seafood dishes.

Tasting Notes Aromas of citrus, pear and white peach lead to enticing stone fruit and fig flavours on the palate. Crisp acidity, complex layering with a hint of nougat and vanilla culminate in a long seamless finish. Winemaking Hand-picked from select rows in our high altitude Eden Valley vineyard. The grapes are whole bunch basket-pressed, before the juice is run to barrel for fermentation. Wild and inoculated fermentation is encouraged. Regular lees stirring and 8 month’s maturation in new and seasoned French oak barriques gives the wine beautiful texture and complexity. Vineyard Soil Type: Deep clay loam contrast sandy loam soils on dark brown subsoil.

Only our second Chardonnay from a carefully fostered single block of Eden Valley fruit of impeccable pedigree. Bright golden yellow, with white peach, apple Danish and cinnamon on the nose that follows through on the palate. A full-bodied wine with a silky creamy texture and an elegant lingering finish. An assured Chardonnay that can stand alone and solve the problems of the world. Drink now or cellar with confidence, for there is a long road ahead.

Pale apricot tinged colour with a watery hue. Aromas of pear and red apple skin mix with quince and spice notes. Juicy pear and red apple fruits are underpinned by refreshing acidity with some quince and delicate spice characters also evident. Finishes dry and brisk with a mid length aftertaste.
