Old Virginia Bourbon uses the very finest grains and adopts an extensive maturation process of over 6 years in oak barrels. This enables Old Virginia to acquire its incomparable mellowness and fine lingering flavour.

Aged in new charred barrels made from American White Oak, which gives Nelson County the smooth, distinctive flavour of a true Bourbon Whiskey.

Michters is Americas first distilling company, dating back to 1753 when they started out making rye whiskey. They take a 'Cost Be Damned' approach to the production of every barrel, using various methods including air drying their barrels for 36 months, toasting the barrels before charring them, using a low barrel-entry strength, heat cycling to encourage ageing during the frigid winters and using specific filtration types for each whiskey they make.

Deep amber in colour, with a rich spice and tea leaf nose. Aging in Oloroso Sherry casks provides a distinct flavour to this light bodied Irish whiskey.

The Rye flavor mixes in well with light fruity/crisp, mint some spiciness and evergreen. You get a fruity, cinnamon, caramel mixed with mint scent.

This Platinum bottling has been limited to only 250 bottles making this one of the worlds most exclusive Irish whiskeys. Having been distilled in 1983 and allowed to rest for over 30 years in Bourbon cask, this limited edition whiskey has been hand selected by our Master Blender for its distinctive taste qualities. The whiskey has inherited a huge amount of character over its 30 year journey leading to a complex floral nose with deep layered flavours and a long luxurious finish. The 12 Year Old Special Reserve is sweet, yet full bodied Kentucky Straight Bourbon which is well crafted and balanced beautifully. On the nose is Butterscotch and Demerara sugar followed by gentle spices, cinnamon, charcoal , coffee and honey on the palate and a long lingering finish full of caramel. This Bourbon can be enjoyed after dinner, much like a good cognac.
