Stephen Pannell grew up in the wine industry as a member of the family which founded Moss Wood in 1967. Stephen's extensive knowledge and experience has been garnered over the years from his work with many of Australia's best wineries (including Wirra Wirra, Hardy's Tintara and BRL Hardy where he was Chief Red Winemaker from 1999 to 2003) and numerous vintages overseas at such places as Domaine des Comtes Lafon in Burgundy, Chateau Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux and G.D.Vajra in Barolo. Other highlights in Stephen's career include winning the title of International Red Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge in London, winning the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show, twice winning the Max Schubert Trophy at the Adelaide Wine Show as well as being listed as one of the 50 most influential contributors to the world of wine by Decanter Magazine.

Price’s No.4 is a blend of the best wines from our 2017 vintage. Premium quality barrels have been singled out and artfully blended to create this unique and succulent wine. The wine is delightfully fruited and seductively complex on the nose showing dark fruit richness together with nuances of warm spice, cedar and violet. The palate displays excellent weight and depth, wonderfully complemented by succulent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, superbly structured by fine chalky tannins. Stylish and sophisticated with a lengthy refined finish.
Price's Wines Block 3 Shiraz
Price’s Block 3 is the embodiment of our winemaking philosophy, produced from old vines thriving in the unique soils of our best Shiraz block at McLaren Vale. It is beautifully ripe and immensely appealing on the nose showing blackberry, plum, thyme and spicy oak characters with a hint of gamey complexity. The palate delivers a wonderfully rounded mouthfeel and supple texture backed by polished tannins, leading to a gorgeously long velvety finish.
