The site where we source fruit for this wine is in a slightly warmer part of the Peninsula, well suited to cooler seasons such as 2020. This wine shows denser, darker fruits than that of its Yarra counterpart. On the nose there is stewed plums, cherries, roasted beetroot and spice all contributing to the aromatic complexity. The palate again shows an array of blue fruits, licorice and well integrated oak flavours giving a hint of sweetness. The acid/tannin combination gives this wine exceptional crunch and energy through the mid palate.

A bright and complex aromatic profile displaying notes of pomegranate, dried strawberry, star anise and cranberry intermingle with hints of blue fruit, crushed violet, fresh tobacco and truffle. A finely structured palate offers both textural generosity and clarity of fruit expression. Red currant, dark cherry and cinnamon raspberry characters integrate well with supportive oak spice. Refreshing natural acidity gives the wine drive and line leading into a long and persistent finish.

Bright cherry and raspberry fruit aromas to the fore with background hints of rosemary, lavender, rose petal and dark chocolate sitting above an underlying steely note. An intense entry onto the palate with fruit-forward red cherry, plum and rhubarb flavour. Plush and polished palate, delivering a riot of red berry perfume, and velvet umami throughout, enhanced by damp earth, mushroom and stalk and charry barrel harmony.
