Clear, bright, pale straw in the glass, the nose is complex and enticing displaying fruit, perfume and evidence of its European winemaking. Honeyed fruit on the palate with a slight buttery mouthfeel, good acid, length and a very good lingering finish. Altogether, a very good wine.
Teusner The Empress Riesling
Well known for his Barossa Valley Red wines, Kym Teusner is equally at home producing lifted aromatic white wines from hand selected vineyards high in the Eden Valley. His The Empress Riesling comes from a block near Keyneton (about 400m above sea level) and from the Southern Eden Valley adjacent to the High Eden. Both parcels are handled differently with the Keyneton handled oxidatively to had textural notes and shape and the Southern fruit kept clean to offer racing acidity and vibrant citrus notes. A perfect balance.
Claymore Joshua Tree Riesling
The aromatics of this wine are so vibrant - jumping out of the glass. A beautiful, appealing perfume full of floral notes and orange blossom with touches of freshly zested limes. The Palate gives good fruit weight and a gentle acidic mouth feel full of clean citrus flavours. This lovely textured Riesling can be enjoyed with fresh seafood.
Towerhill Riesling 'Royalle'
The aroma is seductive, fresh with enticing lime juice, lychee and citrus blossom. This wine has a subtle power with elegant lime and floral characters coming to the fore, whilst the palate has great length, being both dry and yet mouth-filling. This is enhanced by a small proportion of the wine being matured in old French oak and the balance of the wine is reinforced by hallmark Mt Barker Riesling acidity. Suitable for cellar with a right cellaring condition.

Ninth Island Riesling
Aroma: Lemon blossom, apple, mandarin, wildflowers and stonefruit with hints of musk and mineral. Palate: Refreshing flavours of lime and fresh juicy citrus with limestone minerality and a clean crisp finish. Seamless balance, mouth-watering tension and lasting concentration. Cold harvested at night. Following a brief period of skin contact the grapes are carefully pressed using fully protective handling to avoid juice oxidation. This preserves naturally vibrant varietal aromas and flavours. Juice is racked off solids and fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel to enhance freshness. Bottled under screw cap. Ninth Island is one of the labels of the Kreglinger group. Krelinger is a Belgium based company that was formed as a family business in 1797, their business brought them to Australia in 1897 but it was not until the year 2000 that they diversified into wine. Ninth Island represents the second label of the Pipers Brook vineyards, based in Tasmania. The name refers to a tiny island that sits alone in the Bass Strait, just offshore from the Pipers Brook Estate. The Ninth Island vineyard can be found on the banks of the Tamar. The site is comparatively warm and perfect for the production of table wine styles such as Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. They are predominantly made as early drinking styles, with all the fruit sourced from Tamar valley. The Ninth Island's windswept, pristine environment is the inspiration behind this modern range of wines that capture the wild flavours of Tasmania.
