Barrel fermented in 500-litre puncheons (20% new François Frères), the wine is matured on lees for 10 months before bottling.A bright & punchy Chardonnay; Lemon & grapefruit citrus. Sherbert. Spicy oak. slight lees funkiness. A good lengthy finish.

Paul Scorpo produces a Chardonnay of complexity and character here. Aromas of nectarine, minerals and vanilla bean give way to a mouthfeel of peach and citrus and a lovely acid backbone. A truly full-bodied Chardonnay for those who love their barrel ferment and textured styles.

The aromas of pineapple, white peach, nectarines and melon start the senses. On the palate you will also taste rockmelon, white peach and tropical fruits. This wine has a long length of flavour and a creamy mouth feel, finishing with elegant acidity.

Grapes sourced from the 6-acre Robinson vineyard where the 25-year-old vines are rooted in black sand over brown sandy loam. North-facing site, harvested early on the 18th February. Warmer & more stable microclimate here generates a fleshier, more satin textured wine. The early harvest & partial malo provide the requisite mouthwatering crunch.A powerful & intense Chardonnay.
