Scarzella Syrah Piemonte DOC

Inspired by the winemaking experiences in France and Australia, we decided to produce an alternative red from 100% Syrah grapes. We dedicate one of our best parcels on the hills of Belveglio to grow Syrah, the variety par excellence produced in the Côte du Rhône (France). The east facing exposure allows the grapes to ripen slowly and to reach a good sugar level and polyphenols content. Grapes are hand picked in the morning and transported in the cellar. It follows then the destemming and a soft crushing. Fermentation is carried out with frequent punch-downs of the cap for about fifteen days (temperature within 24-26°C). Once the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are terminated, the wine is aged for 10 months in 225-liter French oak barriques. Brilliant ruby red color, on the nose notes of cherries, small red fruits, plums and spicy notes complete the primary and secondary aromas. In the mouth is fruity, fine and elegant. The medium structure allows this wine a good aging potential. The soil, highly calcareous, allows this grape to express an interesting and persistent tannic texture.

Turkey Flat Grenache

Gibson Reserve Shiraz

Gibson Wines is one of the reasons why we all love the Barossa Valley so much. Small family winery, ancient soils, hand-crafter wines all made by a true Barossa character, Rob Gibson. With his signature moustache and motorcyclists' leather waistcoat, Rob puts all his years of experience into every bottle. The Reserve Shiraz is grown from a single estate vineyard in Stockwell and displays aromas and flavours that are fresh and lively with juicy fruit tones that are hard to find in 2007. Amazing what can be achieved with rigorous fruit selection and detailed winemaking.
