Medium bodied with the plush dark berry fruit framed by fine grained tannins to give a long and persistent finish.

This Cabernet is pure class, showcasing all the stunning characteristics you'd expect - plum, cassis, and red berries, complemented by rich chocolate notes. Powerful yet elegant, a well balanced wine. The finish brings in bay leaf, cedary spice, and smooth, refined tannins.

St Hugo Cabernet Shiraz displays a dark ruby red with purple hues. The bouquet of dark forest fruits such as plum, blueberry and cassis lead into a beautifully complex palate of blackcurrent, sweet plum and chalky tannins. There is a underlying savoury oak hint and a finish of lingering dark chocolate.

A high quality wine from the first whiff of the bouquet through to the long finish...has a tapestry of flavours from the base of Cabernet...all supported by persistent but ripe tannins, the oak absorbed by the fruit. Winning the prestigious Decanter International Trophy, we snaffled as much of this wine as we could. Very limited.

The Mangan Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is the sibling to the Cullen Vineyard version and shares the same level of elegance and flavour precision. Crafted from carefully managed vines in Margaret River, this cool-climate Shiraz displays floral and spicy aromas with red berry fruits and hints of cedar. The palate is vibrant and balanced, featuring dark plum and sweet spice supported by fine tannins. Inspired by the iconic Marri trees that have graced Cape Mentelle’s vineyards since 1976, it captures the essence of the region’s elegance and vitality.

Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. It is well balanced with cocoa and savoury oak. The palate yet, is fine, elegant and focussed, finishing with chalky and structural tannins.

The citrus rind and grapefuit lead the palate to an overall fine yet textural journey. Cape Mentelle Chardonnay had this distinctive minerally line too, apparent with focussed refreshing acidity. Faint nuancesof soft nougat and cashews also add to what is a harmonious balance and an elegant and length finish.
