Aromatics of blackberry, mulberry and dried herbs followed by a palate chocked full of sweet black fruits, dark chocolate and spice. Fine French oak tannins carry flavours to a savoury finish.

Leeuwin's Art Label Shiraz has quickly established itself as one of Margaret River's best examples of the variety. Aromas of pepper and dark berry fruit are followed by a palate of length and class.

Delicious bright cherry red fruits are supported by warm earth complexity and a silky finely layered tannin structure. Showing an attractive complexity and definitive Pinot Noir character in its youth, this wine by Marchand and Burch will age with grace over the next 5 years.

Deep crimson in colour. Spicy aromas of Satsuma plums, blueberries, crushed mulberries, blackberries and blackcurrants are complemented beautifully by savoury notes of cardamom, bay leaf and licorice. Margaret River is an under appreciated region for Australian Shiraz, and it's hard to see why with Cape Mentelle's Shiraz showing a vibrant core of blueberry, mulberry and hints of raspberry. It is well balanced with cocoa and savoury oak. The palate yet, is fine, elegant and focussed, finishing with chalky and structural tannins.

Another string to their 'Single Vineyard' bow, Wynns reinvested in the Child's vineyard in 2009 - elevating the fruit there from its traditional supporting role in other premium releases (including John Riddoch and Black Label) to having a dedicated bottling of its own.
