Cabernet Sauvignon is Coonawarra's pre-eminent grape variety. Our 2019 vintage is well structured with a palate of rich ripe grape tannins, supported with French oak frame-work. Cassis and plum, cigar box and cocoa. Great presence and complexity.

Reschke Vitulus Cab Sauv

The Vitulus 19 displays a dark ruby red colour, with hints of green peppercorn and forest floor on the nose. The palate provides fruit intensity, embodying flavours of blackcurrant and light blueberry alongside refreshing dried herbs. High sandy tannins and integrated vanillin oak characteristics provide a long and engaging finish.

Heirloom Vineyards Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

It has a classic lift of essential Cabernet fruit aromas, a perfume of dark mulberries with a lift of white mulberries, tayberries and bramble-berries that have been baked with a fresh pie crust. A great heady aroma with rich red ripe fruits but also some hints of crushed violets and whiffs of mushrooms, olives, dried herbs and suggestions of briar and undergrowth wisping in and out. There is also a shot of old school glossy tri-coloured boiled sweets character to this most complex Coonawarra Cabernet. Two years in oak has allowed a meshing of some spice and cedar oak maturation to complex.

Hollick Cabernet Sauvignon

Hollick Cabernet with all it's bouqet and flavours is classic Coonawarra. Subtle dark chocolate and cloves are framed by ripe berry aromas, the palate delivers rich varietal flavours of blackcurrant enhanced by cedary oak. Continues to be a go-to Cabernet from the famed region.

Redman Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the established names of Coonawarra, Redman Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from hand pruned low yielding mature vines. Ripe blackcurrant fruit and vanillin oak make this fine drinking now.

Katnook Estate Cabernet

Earthy, dark berries and floral aromas. The palate is full bodied, with rich notes of Blackberry, plums and cassis. Earthy notes of forest floor and leather. There's also bay leaf, dried herbs and cedar. The supple tannins frame the wine well with a long finish.

Jacob Creek Double Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon

Jacobs Creek is rooted in 170 years of winemaking tradition, which began when Johann Gramp planted his first vineyard on the banks of Jacobs Creek in 1847. His vision was to create great tasting wines that reflect the true character of the grapes and the land. Using the unique Double Barrel technique of finishing in aged Irish whiskey barrels has integrated the myriad of flavours and brought extra richness to the palate of this wine.

Leconfield Front Twenty Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Planted in 1974 by 76 year-old Sydney Hamilton the front twenty rows of Cabernet Sauvignon on his Coonawarra vineyard were his pride and joy. Having previously retired from a long and distinguished career in winemaking, Sydney still desired to create a classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon and settled in Coonawarra with a clear vision and absolute determination. Now in the custody of winemakers Paul Gordon and Greg Foster, the front twenty rows are treated with the utmost respect, in honour of their founding father. Together with the vineyard team they carefully select only the best premium cabernet sauvignon grapes from these rows to create this classic Coonawarra Cabernet. Front Twenty Cabernet Sauvignon by Leconfield pays homage to Sydney Hamiltons dream and the Hamilton Familys contribution to the South Australian wine industry spanning 180 years in 2017.
