A small batch Anejo named after founder Don Julio Gonzalez-Frausto Estrada, who first distilled Tequila at the age of just 17 in 1942. Aged for at least 30 months in American white-oak, this is a remarkably smooth and incredibly complex Tequila with notes of tropical fruit, agave and a hint of cinnamon spice. Domaine du Tariquet 1994 BA 45.5% 700ml Grape Variety: 60% Ugni-blanc 40% Baco Tasting Notes: Vintage blonde colour, slightly tiled. The nose is ripe, well vanilla, some aromas of hazelnut then a very pleasant sensation of sweetness. The aromatic palette turns out to be noble, very “cigar box” and cashew nuts on the glass bottom. The palate is suave, powerful, thick with a feeling of opulence, bringing in the finish more orange freshness.

An exceptional blend of reserve stocks of Grande Champagne Cognac, distilled in the mid 1970s and matured in old casks. On the nose there are delicate fragrances of spice, sesame seed, oak, baked pears and brown sugar. The palate is deep and viscous with moderately sweet notes of ripe pear, almond, oloroso sherry, orange peel, and leatherwood honey. The finish has hints of brown sugar with notes of vanilla and salt and has great persistence.

Cast your mind back to 1931 and you may remember that it was the year that the Dennery distillery merged with another distillery in St. Lucia to form St. Lucia Distillers (it was the same year that the Empire State Building was completed - in case you need your memory jogged).
