Lifted and fragrant with floral notes on the nose. A full flavoured Shiraz Cabernet with aromas of dark red fruits, freshly crushed mint and a fine grained tannin structure. It's an exceptional representation of two of McLaren Vales most popular varieties.

A blend of 60% Grenache, 23% Shiraz and 17% Nero, producing a fresh, vibrant and silken red wine. Only old oak is used, allowing the fruit to shine.Medium garnet. Hi-octane iodine, prune, leather, earth and bacon bone. Rich, spicy harmony throughout with a brooding mix of juicy raspberry and plum, fine tannins and spicy acidity. Shows lovely textural elements on the long, well balanced finish.

This small batch Grenache from McLaren Vale was a combination of three unique vineyards with different fermentation methods to create a wine with layers and complexity. It was handcrafted to produce a wine portraying the gently sloping sandy loam landscape with tranquil tree lined creek peaceful vineyard views in which it is grown. This refined and elegant, yet bold McLaren Vale Grenache was produced to showcase one of McLaren Vales greatest varietals. It uses small amounts of wholebunch in the ferment to lift the spiciness of the wine and reign in the richness. A portion of carbonic maceration adds lift and fragrance while the balance destemmed only gives power and drive. Blackcurrant, plums and hints of raspberries are entwined with spice and pepper notes. Well balanced acidity and refined velvety tannins combine with generous fruit length to create a comp.

With origins in Spain and southern France, where he still regularly distinguishes himself, this impressive figure first set foot here in 1840 and today also calls South Australia home. Shingleback Single Vineyard Grenache is a true expression of the McLaren Vale region, crafted from select handpicked bush vine grenache parcels of grapes grown in our Shingleback Vineyard located between Mclaren Vale and Mclaren Flat planted in 1947. Its sandy loam over clay soil allows roots to travel down to the clay layer where the moisture is trapped allowing vines to survive with very minimum irrigation. This wine displays blueberry and raspberry aromas with hints of black earthy tones, its long silky tannins balance the vibrant red fruit flavours, resulting in a very approachable wine to enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to 10 years

The vines used to produce this wonderful Grenache are 80 years old (hence the name!) and it shows. Ripe cherry, berry fruit and a touch of spice that lingers on the palate. Lovely soft tannins that will reward medium term cellaring.

Kay Brothers Basket Pressed Shiraz has a rich and complex bouquet that promises something special and it certainly delivers. The palate is laden with generous plum, blackberry and spice and the length is exceptional. This one is a keeper! More to the savoury side of Shiraz, it is about texture more than just fruit.
