This Shiraz has vibrant red fruits, with a hint of blueberry and vanilla and a soft, elegant finish.

The Seresin Leah is a wonderful example of hand-crafted Marlborough Pinot Noir which is sourced from 3 of Seresin's premium vineyard sites; the clay rich hillside Raupo Creek vineyard, the alluvial shingles of the Tatou vineyard and the Home vineyard, which is made up of a variety of Waimakariri type soils of alluvial origin. The wine itself shows a nose of savoury, spicy and earthy aromas with plum, berry and herbal notes. Following is a palate that is both focused and plush with a feminine feel of red fruits, namely strawberry and ripe cherry.

Oakridge 864 Pinot Noir is a true single vineyard expression of Pinot Noir by one of the Yarra Valley's premier producers. A nose of dark cherry and plum greets you followed by a palate that is both concentrated and dense. Fruit flavours of framboise, dark cherry and forest floor carry off a truly remarkable Pinot.

Oakdene Petas Pinot Noir is garnet in colour, with an intense bouquet of cherry, spice, mocha and smoked meats, leading to sweet cherry, briar and hints of clove. The mid palate offers earthy cherry, plum notes, and some spice and whole bunch characters, firm tannins and a long finish. 15% whole bunches, wild yeast and matured in French oak puncheons (30% new) for 11 months bottled without fining and light filtration. Lightfoot & Sons Pinot Noir gives lifted floral aromas and bright red cherry fruit which make this an immediately appealing wine. The whole bunch ferments bring cherry and plum fruit characters to the fore of the palate and contrast with the French oak, tannins and savoury elements. This is a classic Gippsland Pinot Noir, it has texture, bright clean fruit and great balance.

Red fruit aromas in the red cherry and redcurrant spectrum carry through onto the palate.

While Durif is not widely grown in Australia but has a loyal following nonetheless. De Bortoli Deen Vat 1 is an excellent example, showing typically deep colour and lots of rich, ripe fruit supported by firm tannins. Perfect when paired with a thick cut steak and roasted vegetables.
