George Wyndham was one of the founding fathers of the Australian wine industry after planting the first commercial vineyard in 1830. The cool climate region, with maritime influences, is ideal for Cabernet, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly over an extended period to achieve the desired physiological ripeness.A cool growing season and above average winter rains leading into the 2017 vintage saw the region return to what could be best described as a more traditional Coonawarra vintage.
