It has a mild hoppy taste with a subtle sweet flavour. Unlike a lot of reduced alcohol beers it maintains a solid body and texture. It is an excellent beer if you're after the full bodied beer flavours without the matching alchohol content.

Aged in small American oak barriques for 22 months. Deep dark red black shaded colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe dark plum and liquorice aromas are intermeshed with vanillin cedar and subtle peppered earth notes. Rich fleshy dark plum, ripe cherry and liquorice fruits overlay a toasty vanillin cedar and spice back drop. Velvet smooth tannins with a long generously fruited conclusion that has a succulent feel to it. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 14.5%
