Blue Rock Wines Eden Valley Tempranillo

Blue Rock Wines 2017 Eden Valley TempranilloOur cool-climate Eden Valley Tempranillo is ruby-red in colour with bright purple hues. The aromas of cola and black cherry indulge the nose. Enticing fruit flavours of black cherry, blueberries and boysenberries coat the soft velvety palate. Hints of chocolate make this wine reminiscent of Cherry ripe. This Spanish wine varietal pairs beautifully with tapas, marinated mushrooms, olives, chorizo sausage and even BBQ prawns. It doesnt get any more Mediterranean than that.

Tread Softly Tempranillo

A subtle rendition of this popular Spanish variety, showing enticing aromas of red fruits, with a savoury edge. Nicely svelte palate of bright fruit, soft tannins and bright acidity on the finish. Light and smooth and the perfect accompaniment for anything char-grilled.

Artelan Rioja Tempranillo

Artelan is a range of contemporary wines that reflect the personality of Rioja Alavesa, the highest subzone of the Rioja DOCa. Rioja Alavesa is one of the greatest wine terroirs in Spain, combining altitude, a high percentage of limestone in the soils and a predominance of old vineyards. The result are wines that display great freshness, elegance and depth of flavours.

Barón de Barbón Oak Aged Rioja

Vintage after vintage, Barón de Barbón proves to be our bestselling Rioja. It’s a lot to do with the wine’s enticing berry aromas, silky texture and luscious flavour. The talent behind this contemporary, fruit driven red is the young and infectiously keen Javier Murúa. His father Julián owns Bodegas Muriel (a winery Julián’s parents established in 1926) in Rioja’s superior Alavesa. We have a fabulous working relationship with the family, ensuring our Buyer Beth goes in straight after vintage and gets first refusal on the finest vats. With its easy going, ripe red berry flavours and fragrant vanilla character, this supple Rioja is great to drink on its own or with simple suppers such as lamb chops, char-grilled vegetable kebabs or chicken.

Pagos de Tahola Rioja

A charm filled Rioja that makes lovely easy drinking. Hand harvested to select only the ripest Tempranillo grapes from the old vines, the 2020 is complex and elegant with luscious, subtle spice notes and velvety smooth tannins. Bursting with high-spirited summer berries and fragrant vanilla oak, and tinged with the charisma of ripe strawberries for a tantalisingly delicious mouthful. You’ll enjoy the Rioja most when paired with authentic tapas, grilled lamb or rabbit stew.

Zinio St Art CollectTempranillo

Zinio honours the artists responsible for their striking labels with a nod to the street art that makes the vibrant city of Logrono in the heart of Rioja so special. This brilliant fruit forward tempranillo is grown at an altitude of 550m above sea level on Clay and Limestone soils showing freshness and complexity. Grapes were destemmed and gently crushed before a 24 hour cold soak prior to fermentation in order to achieve maximum flavour extraction. The resulting wine is deep purple

Palacio del Conde Gran Selección

As Robert Parker says, “Spain leads the world for sensational wine bargains of character and soul”, none more so than its mature reds. Nowhere else produces mellow, barrel-aged wines of such remarkable quality and price. Take Palacio del Conde – a gorgeously complex, oaky 2015 from Valencia. Part of this region is close to the coast, while the more southerly part is inland, up in the hills, and dry. It’s there that winemaker Marta Martínez selects the finest, hand harvested – from 50 year old vines – Tempranillo grapes for this Gran Reserva, then ages the wine for three years in oak barrels. A wonderfully fragrant, silky red with mature redcurrant and strawberry fruit and a rich, toasty character. Sublime with roast lamb or tapas. Its three recent Gold wins show its drinking beautifully now.

Parra Jimenez Caballero Tinto Natural

Caballero comes from the vineyard called Bernardo. The result is a pleasant dry wine with aromas of ripe berries. Very balance at the end and ideal to serve a bit chilled. Great value wine and it is very versatile as well.

Devil's Vine Tempranillo

Devil's Vine is one hell of a wine. This devilish drop is approachable, juicy yet smooth, and intensely satisfying. This wine provides aromas of red berries and plum, with flavours of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry and a hint of spice. Go on….It would be a sin not to.
