The Limestone Coast was under the sea for over 25 million years. Fast-forward one million years, the region rose out of the sea and fossils helped form the prized red soils (‘terra rossa’) for which the Limestone Coast is famous. This delicious red offers stacks of ripe, sweet fruit on the nose and palate, with a chocolate-rich mouthfeel and spicy persistence.

Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of Cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz.

This is Shiraz, refreshed. Sorbet Wild Berry Shiraz is a refreshing take on a classic red, with intense flavours of lifted fresh berries that perfectly complement the Shiraz fruit profile. Aromas of berry fruits with peppery Ribena varietal characters make for a red that's as fresh as it is fun. Serve it chilled or at room temperature - whatever refreshment suits the moment.

This Cabernet Merlot, sourced from premium Australian wine regions, has fresh dark berry fruit flavours balanced by soft tannins.

Battle of Bosworth started conversion to organic in 1995. Now, fully organic certified, they have a significant holding of 20 years and older vines. Their Puritan Shiraz is modelled on the young Tempranillos that come out of Rioja in Spain – no oak, just straight into bottle, so the fruit flavours really shine. (And they really do shine!) No added preservatives make this a top choice for the sulphur-sensitive.

A certified organic producer, Nature's Harvest is also focused on minimising their use of additives. Made in a soft and round style, there are hints of pepper and plum, with spice and a touch of oak for complexity.

A favourite of many of the cellar workers, this classic blend needs some time to unwind. The nose is fragrant, with intense McLaren Vale Grenache blood orange character, supported with ferrous and iodine notes. There's some initial fruit sweetness on the front palate, quickly morphing into a long line of concentrated red fruit and spice. The finish is tangy, with young, crunchy tannins, resulting in a wine with fantastic structure and incredible length.

Tone it down, or don’t. Sitting at 16 ABV, this is Shiraz turned up a notch. It packs the signature 19 Crimes dark fruit, spice, and oak flavours that everyone loves, while being unapologetically louder. Why play it safe when you can run with the rebels and enjoy 19 Crimes to the Max.
