Pocketwatch Pinot Noir was produced using grapes grown in Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley. It is a delicate red wine exhibiting subtle hints of oak from its nose. Displaying bright fruit characteristics, the palate is filled with red fruit flavours of cherry and raspberry combined with a slight earthy appeal and nuances of oak. An easy-to-drink wine, it can be paired with roasted chicken, pasta, grilled salmon and duck.

Tempus Two Merlot is deliciously ripe, lovely flavours of mulberry fruit with some earthiness and spice. Soft tannins complement the finish.

Proudly, a wine style that hasn’t succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character. Although a small proportion of Cabernet is sometimes used to improve structure, the focal point for St Henri remains Shiraz.

Kevin’s motto is to build complexity and texture into his wines literally from the ground up! The superb wines are made by Todd Payne who has had “a distinguished career, starting in the Great Southern, then the Napa, Plantagenet, Esk Valley in Hawke’s Bay, and on to the Northern Rhône” (Halliday).
