Planted in the late 19th century, the High Trellis vineyard was the first d'Arenberg vineyard to be trained above knee height. For the past four decades, a Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced from the vineyard to critical acclaim, even winning the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1969. Something that d'Arry reminds current winemaker, and son, Chester about often!

Chapel Hill The Vinedresser is a true to form McLaren Vale Shiraz. With hints of blueberry and spice and a long, silky finish.

This vintage 2016 red wine is a 48% Grenache, 47% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre (or Mataro) blend harvested from McLaren Vale. It is a wonderful combination of the different varieties: enjoy red fruit aromas and musk from Grenache, Mourvedres minerality and gamey notes on the palate, and structure and length of the palate provided by Shiraz. Experiencing all these wonderful characteristics makes it a fun wine that will immediately satisfy your senses. This exquisite red blend pairs beautifully with mature hard cheeses, spicy cuisine, beef and lamb. It can be enjoyed now, but additional cellaring until 2022 will also be a rewarding option.

The style is bone dry but full of texture, red cherry sweet herbs and orange blossum. The 2018 is made from Carignan, Shiraz and a little Sangiovese . These were all picked for Rose in late February.The fruit was handpicked and pressed off into seasoned barrels and one stainless tank. The stainless tank was fermented cool on light lees- the barrel component was ambient, wild and on full solids. After a months the two parcels were blended and retuned to barrels prior to bottling. Fox Creek Short Row Shiraz is a terrific McLaren Vale Shiraz with lovely suppleness of texture. Plum aniseed and rich fruit-cake flavours are woven around spicy oak and light lingering tannin.
