The nose is teeming with red fruits and florals.Raspberry and cherry with a hint rose and violet. The true giveaways to the vintage however, lie in the distinct white pepper and spice notes. The palate follows suit with bright red fruit and spice.

Chapel Hill The Vinedresser is a true to form McLaren Vale Shiraz. With hints of blueberry and spice and a long, silky finish.

Restrained and supple, lots of ripe dark plum, pepper and spice of Shiraz with the rose petal perfume lift and red cherry taste of Grenache. Lovely lightness and brightness to the back palate with a faint dried herbal and savoury edge, making it terrific immediate drinking but will cellar nicely for 5-10 years.

The style is bone dry but full of texture, red cherry sweet herbs and orange blossum. The 2018 is made from Carignan, Shiraz and a little Sangiovese . These were all picked for Rose in late February.The fruit was handpicked and pressed off into seasoned barrels and one stainless tank. The stainless tank was fermented cool on light lees- the barrel component was ambient, wild and on full solids. After a months the two parcels were blended and retuned to barrels prior to bottling. Tarot Rosé is our transformation wine – infusing white wine with red to create something completely new. We use the ripasso method to our advantage here, steeping the white wine blend of Chardonnay and Riesling on Aglianico and Grenache skins. Think of it like a tea – how the water absorbs colour, texture, flavour and tannin from the leaves. After the process – a new rosé is born. Sure, it's a little unconventional, but since when did AB&D bow to convention?
