Castillo Ygay Tempranillo from the famed Rioja region in Spain was one of the stars of the show at the recent Dan Murphy's Wines of the World Expo! Complex roasted chestnut/mocha/dark berry/leather fruit with superb richness, underlying savoury nuances and ripe chocolaty tannins. Although matured for 31 months in American oak, the oak and fruit integration is sublime.

Les Forts de Latour is the wonderful second label of the famous Château Latour of Pauillac. Les Forts lacks none of the legendary power and concentration of its elder brother although it is approachable at a much earlier age. Rich Cabernet influence dominates this wine that comes from Latour fruit that doesn't make the grand vin as well as the younger vine material. The 2009 is considered one of the truly great vintages in living memory and it is in these years that secondary wines like this Forst de Latour really shine. The base wine is made with grapes fermented on the skins for three days. To ferment in the bottle we only use fresh must obtained by gently pressing Moscato grapes which were previously dried on trellises. On the nose it opens on the typical hints of ripe black fruit, licorice, earth and spices. Of beautiful density and aromatic length, on the palate it is rich in flavor, lively, at the same time fresh with acidity.

“Taersìa” means storm, wind storm in the dialect of the fishermen and seafarers of Salento. This innovative wine, obtained from the white vinification of Negromaro red grapes, is really a storm of news in the panorama of our region. In 2013, at its debut, it won the first prize of the Radici Wine Festival in its category and continued to be appreciated by lovers of good wine, becoming a reference point for whites in Salento. It is a round and structured wine, with surprising aromas.
