The word appassimento is Italian for "withering" and refers to a method of wine production in which grapes are dried for several weeks after harvest in special storage racks. De'Conti Appassimento 100X100 is a strong but fruity red with with a soft and almost sweet tannic structure. To obtain a well balanced wine, they have added Apulian Negroamaro and Sangiovese fruit.
