Farnese Edizione gives a very deep garnet red colour. The nose is intense and persistent with notes of cherry and blackcurrant, herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, liquorice and hints of mineral. The palate has great structure, good balance between alcohol and freshness, velvety tannins, very persistent with a long finish, ready to drink, or can be put in the cellar for a few years.

Castillo Ygay Tempranillo from the famed Rioja region in Spain was one of the stars of the show at the recent Dan Murphy's Wines of the World Expo! Complex roasted chestnut/mocha/dark berry/leather fruit with superb richness, underlying savoury nuances and ripe chocolaty tannins. Although matured for 31 months in American oak, the oak and fruit integration is sublime.

Les Forts de Latour is the wonderful second label of the famous Château Latour of Pauillac. Les Forts lacks none of the legendary power and concentration of its elder brother although it is approachable at a much earlier age. Rich Cabernet influence dominates this wine that comes from Latour fruit that doesn't make the grand vin as well as the younger vine material. The 2009 is considered one of the truly great vintages in living memory and it is in these years that secondary wines like this Forst de Latour really shine. Light fresh Italian chardonnay, with peach and stone fruit. The grapes are destemmed, and left in maceration for a few hours. The next phase is the gentle pressing of the marc, resulting in a static cold decanting so that it happens naturally. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 12 °C, with maturation mainly in tank. San Marzano is a small village in the centre of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC region, a strip of land kissed by the two seas of the Salento: the Ionian and the Adriatic. In 1962 the DOC appellation did not yet exist. Even so, 19 winemakers came together to follow a dream and founded Cantine San Marzano. However, it wasn't until 1996 and the introduction of a new bottling plant that San Marzano wines could move from commodity to brand. With the growth of the brand and company, San Marzano set themselves a goal: 'To make a wine just like the one our fathers did and make it original and contemporary.' This was to be the Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOP, one of the iconic labels of the company, and one which embodies the essence of the San Marzano philosophy. Today the collective continues to flourish with the aquisition of new vineyards and opportunities to explore.

A blend of two native grapes of Puglia, negroamaro and primitivo, and sourced from the Brindisi area. It delivers tasty value for money with its violet tinged bouquet and round and abundant flavours of sweet dark plum and dried cherry.
