Fromm's passion for Pinot Noir is reflected in the attention to detail shown in the vineyard and throughout the winemaking process. Carefully selected clones and rootstocks, together with intensive vineyard care and low cropping, means the vines produce fruit that illustrates the terroir in which they were grown. Today in the Fromm stable of vineyards there are eleven clones, 4000 - 5000 vines per hectare, with crop levels around five to six tonnes per hectare. The blend which makes up each years La Strada Pinot Noir by Fromm depends on what nature has given in each of their vineyards. Invariably, the wine is strongly varietal, fruity and has immediate appeal.

Notes of dark cherry, violets and spice dominate the nose. Palate: The palate is full and structured, yet elegant with flavors of luscious dark cherry balanced with a fine mineral acidity. This wine matches beautifully with red meat dishes, including venison and lamb. Drink now or cellar 3-5 years. This wine is suitable for vegetarians and gluten free diets.

Garnet in colour, the wine displays aromas of cherry cola, violets, star anise and pink peppercorns. The palate has black forest chocolate notes, tobacco leaf, Danish liquorice and spice. Berry fruit flavours are supported by grainy tannins and a juicy finish.

Light pink in colour and bursting with ripe strawberry and cherry aromas. A beautifully balanced, lifted and refreshing wine full of concentrated fruit flavours. Delicious with light salads, pasta and rich dishes.

Deep bright ruby red in colour, Devil's Staircase Pinot Noir is a dizzying fusion of firm fruit, tempting spices and alluring earthen notes. Each drop of this wine is bursting with flavours of black Doris plums, blueberries and bramble fruit that leave one wanting for more. It is characterized as a fruity, rich and full wine with finely balanced acid and firm tannins. The supple richness of Rockburn Devils Staircase Pinot Noir complements a range of savoury dishes. It can be tried alongside game birds such as quail, turkey and duck, or with a fillet of New Zealand salmon.

Our Pinot Noir brings aromas of dark cherry, cassis and mocha notes in a deep hue. Followed by rich flavours, lovely oak charm and a hint of salt.

Native & Ancient explores the interaction between microbiology and human intervention, of man and nature, through a series of natural wines.The fruit for this wine is organically farmed from Block 2 on the Isabel Estate Vineyard. The wine is made in as natural a way as possible, harking back to ancient winemaking techniques. Hand picked, some carbonic fermentation, minimal plunging, racked from barrel and bottled without fining or filtration. No added sulphites. Deep red like your mum's lipstick. Bright and crunchy, yet dark and dense just like a bar of black forest chocolate. Red fruits mingle with dried herbs and tobacco. A raw expression of Pinot Noir.

The fruit for this vintage was hand selected from throughout the Southern Valleys, a Marlborough sub region renowned for growing Pinot Noir with great colour, intensity, excellent texture and ripeness. Discover aromas of dark cherry and bramble, with sweet spice and subtle toasty notes. On the palate, enjoy flavours of cherry compote, mocha and clove, with earthy smokey notes from careful barrel aging in French oak hogsheads.
