We are a small team at Patrick of Coonawarra, making award winning wine from our estate grown vineyards within the Limestone Coast of South Australia. We produce product of passion, perseverance, people & place. TASTING NOTE: A blend of Coonawarra and Wrattonbully fruit, giving depth, complexity and a unique flavour. This fresh, tropical style is perfectly balanced with melon and passionfruit with a crisp citrus finish. An easy drinking style, perfect for any occasion WINEMAKER’S NOTE: This Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of our two vineyards within the Limestone Coast. The Coonawarra fruit brings great natural acidity and citrus freshness, whilst the Wrattonbully bring tropical fruit flavours. VINTAGE NOTE: 2022 was a strong vintage, with stable conditions and harvest starting a little later than recent years. The crop levels were moderate, with aslight frost in November reducing the white varieties significantly from previous years.The resultant wines are concentrated and intense with great fruit flavours.

The taste is soft at the start, then savory and lively, with good structure, with excellent alcoholic balance. The persistence of aromas makes the drink pleasant, leaving a slight and typical bitter note. Perfect as an aperitif with cheese puffs or pieces of Sardinian ham, dishes with fresh bottarga, savory pies with vegetables, dishes with shellfish and seafood, tasty fish and medium fat cooked or grilled. The Jack Estate Pinot Gris is a true expression of Robe's coastal elegance and purity. Crafted to reflect the influence of cooling maritime breezes and ancient limestone soils, this wine captures the freshness, texture, and vibrant fruit character that define the region. A refined and graceful white, made to be both expressive and effortlessly enjoyable. A finely textured and refreshing wine with vibrant flavours of juicy pear, rose petal and apple. The well rounded palate is enhanced by subtle spice and a clean acid line, providing drive and a lingering finish.

This is fun winemaking at it best. A little soak of the juice on skins, a press in the basket press and let the ferment get going. The ferment was stopped by fortification with Brandy Spirit to leave a sweat’ish wine that is now stored in ex Australian Whisky barrels. The wine will continue to evolve the barrel developing complexity from the wood and previous contents. Best fresh from the barrel, it is bottled as required. Each label has the date of bottling hand written on it. This is a single vintage fortified.

Brightly fruited and immediately appealing, the inviting bouquet shows Granny Smith apple, capsicum, and lemon zest aromas. The palate displays excellent fruit purity and intensity, well supported by crisp acidity, finishing long and flavoursome.

Pale straw with green hues. Aromas of lemon, lime, and subtle florals with a hints of minerality. The palate shows citrus and grapefruit, with a lingering lemon-lime finish and a touch of saline minerality.
