Bottled at 50% abv. COLOUR: Golden Yellow TASTING NOTES: NOSE: Heavily oaked and complex, some curious barley-sugar notes shrouded in soft smoke. Big, though seductively gentle.TASTE: The delivery, though controlled at first, is massive; gentle smoke turns into warming, full-blown peat, aided by a subtle custard trifle note. An oaky vanilla hammers home that barley, alongside an intense chocolate fudge which absolutely resonates through the palate.FINISH: A mouth-filling sweetness accompanies the malt to a satisfying end, though. After this, the spices, rather than lying down and accepting their fate, rise up and usher this extraordinary whisky to its final curtain-call." The Amrut distillery was founded in 1948 as Amrut Laboratories. Established by Shri J N Radhakrishna, the company started blending and bottling various alcoholic beverages. During the 1950s and 1960s, Amrut launched products for the Indian armed forces as well as the general market; products included the dark rum Amrut XXX and Silver Cup Brandy. During the 1970s, Amrut began marketing a grape brandy called Bejois, made from Bangalore blue grapes.

Peated whisky was sourced from selected distilleries from mainly highland and speyside regions and carefully blended by the master blender Mr. Usami Ken and finished in Mizunara wood for more than 6 months. The Shinobu Distillery in collaboration with Niigata Beer Distillery is located in the Japanese seaside region of Niigata on the countrys western coast. The area is famous for its Three White Treasures: snow, rice and sake which have been cultivated there for centuries. Shinobu Pure Malt whiskies are crafted by master blender, Mr. Usami Ken who blends malts aged in sherry, bourbon and Hogshead casks before finishing them in Japans prized Mizunara Oak. Famous for imparting rich, honeyed flavors of apples, pears, cloves and nutmeg, Mizunara Oak has been used in Japan since the 1930s and is now sought-after by whisky makers around the world. You can enjoy the rich taste of cedar and cypress harvested in the area where Kumano Kodo is a World Heritage Site. Mainly uses “Kishu sugi (cypress)” and Kishu Kumano hinoki(cedar)” which are famous as “Kishu wood”, and uses juniper berry as the base of the aroma of gin. The fragrances of the three materials contain a lot of ingredients called “”alpha pinene”” and deepen the fragrance of each other. At first, the scent of Japanese cedar rises, and when you put it in your mouth, the calm and thick scent and flavor of Japanese cypress spreads a little later. Refreshing and smooth texture with Wakayama citrus, and sharp aftertaste with Wakayama Japanese pepper
