2023 PINOT NOIR THE WINE Seductive black cherry overlaid with exotic spices lead to a palate of supple fresh berries, bright acidity and lingering fine grained tannin. The very essence of youthful, vibrant Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir from carefully selected vineyards. VITICULTURE With enough sunny days to develop ripe, intense flavours 2023 was a cool and late vintage. The 2023 Epee Pinot Noir is made up of four clones - MV6,777,114 and 115 from vineyards at Gumeracha and Lobethal. More clones equals more complexity. WINEMAKING Harvested in the cool of night and early morning, pristine destemmed fruit is tipped directly into fermenters without crushing to give a high percentage of whole berries. The fermenters are gently pumped over twice a day to keep the skins wet and promote gentle tannin extraction. After pressing the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks prior to blending to preserve freshness and vibrancy.

This Wild Ferment Pinot Noir is both delicate in nature and also generous in flavour with fresh cherry and rhubarb characters supported by smooth and silky tannins.

A masterclass in balance, this Montepulciano Rose effortlessly weaves together vibrant fruit, savoury depth, and a beautifully textural palate. Delicate herbal and tomato bush notes greet the palate before giving way to the bright juciy allure of red berries and a whisper of turkish delight. A touch of oak lends a velvety richness, enhancing the wine's elegance without overpowering the freshness. The dry finish is crisp and refined with perfectly pitched acidity that makes it an absolute dream with food. Incredibly versatile and endlessly drinkable.

Winemaker Steve Grimley knows how to tell a good story. He's famous for his long yarns! And if we're lucky, one day he will sit down and tell us all about this cracking Pinot Noir. In the meantime, the incredible intensity and lavish fruit richness will have to suffice. With or without the story, this is amazing stuff!

A Spanish/Italian rendezvous with the Adelaide Hills - a unique blend of 50% whole bunch Barbera and destemmed Tempranillo. Intensely aromatic and inviting bouquet of raspberries, blueberries and satsuma plum entwined with fresh thyme and sage with a hint of cured meat.
