Ten years marks a significant period in the development of Old Kempton Distillery. Along with Lyn Lark, James Reid and Amelia Hope, we started what was going to be a small craft distillery. Over time, the distillery attracted a few passionate friends who shared our vision. They were welcomed into our family bringing expertise and enthusiasm guiding OKD to what it is today. We are also fortunate to have a wonderful support team to facilitate OKD’s commitment to becoming a true artisan distillery. Aroma: A rich and ever developing aroma with dried fruits (raisins and sultanas), tinned pears, coffee with dark chocolate, orange peel, rich malt, and toasted almonds. Palate: Rich oil, and creamy across the palate with a good balance of both sweet and dry elements (ANZAC biscuits, Seville orange, and oak). Finish: Great mouthfeel with good spread and balance (Gingernut biscuit with spice and toffee). This release marries together spirit distilled at both our original site at Redlands Estate and at our new home at Dysart House, Kempton. Whist our location has changed, the delicate fruit and malt driven spirit that we produce has been consistent across our sites and is central to the style of whisky we produce.

This unique dry-style gin is distilled with juniper and contains a small core of our silver spirit. The first ever release of Sullivans Cove XO Double Cask Brandy is a marriage of ten different casks, each selected for their individual flavour profiles to create a uniquely Tasmanian spirit much more than the sum of its parts. Each brandy in this batch was aged for between nine and ten years in various French Oak ex-tawny and American oak ex-Bourbon casks, distilled from a wide variety of Tasmanian wines including chardonnay, pinot noir, gewurztraminer, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot to achieve incredible complexity. Lighter and more citrusy than Sullivans Cove XO Single Cask, Double Cask remains a beautifully full-bodied brandy with an intriguing balance of topical and savoury

Lark is Tasmanian whisky, proudly unique in character and style. Entirely made by hand with no more than 100 litres at a time, Lark's 58% Cask Strength expression is widely regarded as 'one of the world's best cask strength whiskies', winning numerous international medals and trophies. These Willamette variety raspberries are grown in the deep south of Tasmanian, in the foot hills of our world heritage Mount Field National Park at the Westerway Raspberry Farm, owned and operated by the Clark family for over 25 years. These raspberries, originally from the north-west of USA are a sweet and juicy variety, great for jams, juicing and of course gin ;). With a very short shelf life and harvest season (4-6 weeks) you have to be quick to get your hands on the real thing, but if you miss out, don’t worry…. we have the next best thing :).
