In the glass this wine shows bright purple hues and lifted aromas of red berries dried herbs and spices with hints of liquorice. These aromas follow through to the palate where the berry fruit flavours balance the soft tannins. It is a medium bodied, versatile wine that can be enjoyed now, or will reward cellaring for up to 4 years from vintage.

Snobs Creek Estate VSP Shiraz

A Shoemaker with the finest skills and dedication to his craft once lived at the bridge over the creek. It was then named after his most important tool, Snob, the small anvil used to shape the toe end of a boot. The VSP Shiraz is a well-balanced wine, which shows rich dark fruits aromas mixed with mocha and spice oak aromas. Oak is well integrated and gives the wine a nice long flavoursome finish.

Galli Estate Lorenzo Shiraz

This was such a delight to taste - one of those wines that makes you wonder why Victoria doesn't quite have the global recognition for shiraz as their South Aussie neighbours. I think we're lucky enough to be looking at this 2018 right as it's finding its feet; pure fruit remains the main draw-card, but there is glimpses of maturity beginning to shine through. A layered and deeply curious wine. Blueberries and cool winter fruit sit squarely at the centre of what is a genuinely abundant affair; full and juicy. That fruit freshness is flanked by anise, vanilla, fruit leather, and cold, wet soil. A bright, shimmering example of how dually finessed and powerful Heathcote shiraz can be. This is a beauty, right in its prime.

De Bortoli Woodfired Heathcote Grenache

Matured in vats and casks for 7 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with vanillin oak, earth and spice. Juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits carry medium body weight over an earth and vanillin spice back drop. Good flesh and freshness with slightly chewy tannins and a lively dark fruited conclusion. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 14.5%

De Bortoli Woodfired Heathcote Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyards from the Northern section of Heathcote were selected, mainly around Corop. The ancient red Cambrian soils of Northern Heathcote are ideal for dark fruited, rich soft Cabernet. Intense dark colour red with purple edge. Ripe blackberry and blueberry characters, cedarwood and liquorish. Soft, rich, mouth coating, balanced tannin, hints of classic Cabernet and authentically Heathcote.

Tyrrell's Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz

Tyrrell's Rufus Stone is an excellent example of Heathcote Shiraz at a reasonable price. A rich, balanced wine of deep magenta colour with liquorice and white pepper aromas. Intense dark plum flavours are given a subtle lift from the well judged French oak. Better than ever!
