The Capel Vale Single Vineyard Scholar Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 boasts a deep, ruby red colour with a hint of purple. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and cassis blend harmoniously with touches of spice and leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and intense, with a good balance between its firm yet supple tannins and juicy acidity. Notes of blackcurrant, plum and star anise mingle with hints of tobacco and black pepper. Houghton Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful example of well established wineries in the Western Australian wine scene with access to some amazing vineyards sites within the Margaret River.
