Coola Road 2015 Riesling has a crisp acidity and a lively palate, which is representative of the region. This 2015 vintage has a perfumed nose of green apple and pear. The fruity perfumed nose leads into a well-balanced wine with a refreshing and lasting palate of citrus and lime. A lengthened minerally acidity is also present. An immediate reward or one that would cellar well for several years.

The rugged and remote Eden Valley region is renowned for the production of pristine Riesling, and the iconic Mountadam winery is one of the top producers in the region.Pale lemon. Lifted lemon, lime and white flower. Tight, crisp and minerally with a succulent yet pristine core of citrus fruit, firm lemony acidity and a long precise finish.

The fruit for this Riesling was grown on a vineyard in the Orange region, which is situated 1000m above sea level. Ninth Island is one of the labels of the Kreglinger group. Krelinger is a Belgium based company that was formed as a family business in 1797, their business brought them to Australia in 1897 but it was not until the year 2000 that they diversified into wine. Ninth Island represents the second label of the Pipers Brook vineyards, based in Tasmania. The name refers to a tiny island that sits alone in the Bass Strait, just offshore from the Pipers Brook Estate. The Ninth Island vineyard can be found on the banks of the Tamar. The site is comparatively warm and perfect for the production of table wine styles such as Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. They are predominantly made as early drinking styles, with all the fruit sourced from Tamar valley. The Ninth Island's windswept, pristine environment is the inspiration behind this modern range of wines that capture the wild flavours of Tasmania.
