Is a cracker, but an idiosyncratic wine; much in the same way as Bordeaux’s Château Tertre Roteboeuf. It’s the type of claret style that would win a prize in the Australian Burgundy classes of yore. Voluminous and inky deep, it show lifted cassis, cedar, dried apricot, hint wood varnish aromas and flavours, fine supple/slinky texturesand well-integrated roasted chestnut notes. This is a terrific ‘vin de garde’ with all the elements for long term ageing. A high water mark for Terre à Terre.

Named in honour of Eliza King - wife of Coonawarra founding father John Riddoch, the Riddoch 'Eliza King' Shiraz 2025 is a rich, full-bodied red brimming with regional character. It opens with lifted aromas of dark berries, plum, and mulberry, complemented by signature hints of choc mint and subtle oak spice. Pioneer of the Coonawarra region, John Riddoch, lends his name to the highway that dissects the famous 'terra rossa' dominated region which is home to some of Australia's premier red wine vineyards.
