Pepper Tree Cabernet Sauvignon
Pepper Tree have quickly established themselves as one of the showcases of not only the Hunter Valley region, but the other three regions where they source premium fruit from; Orange, Wrattonbully and Coonawarra. Award winning winemaker, Jim Chatto is at the helm of this progressive winery and here he produces a Cabernet Sauvignon of upmost class and complexity. A nice nose of cassis and dark berries with a hint of oak, ripe rich fruit that fills the mouth with blackcurrants and soft tannins.

Riddoch Shiraz
Pioneer of the Coonawarra region, John Riddoch, lends his name to the highway that dissects the famous 'terra rossa' dominated region which is home to some of Australia's premier red wine vineyards. The fruit for this evocative Shiraz is sourced from some of these vineyards and is aged in a combination of French and American oak for 18 months to develop increased complexity. Smith & Hooper Cabernet Merlot
The bouquet in this wine shows bright red fruits such as cranberries and cherries along with subtle cedary oak nuances. The palate is lively and fresh supported by silky tannins and savoury briar characters carrying the wine to a long finish. Tapanappa Whalebone Vineyard Cabernet Shiraz
The aroma is of blackberry and cassis with no leafiness and an earthy, Moroccan leather bouquet typical of the Whalebone terroir. The flavours are rich and strong with an underlying fresh varietal complexity including the spiciness of Cabernet and the fresh leather and anise of Shiraz. The tannins are at once grainy and substantial providing a savoury and long finish. This is an excellent example of Australias own red blend and a pure expression of these unique terroirs.

Smith & Hooper Reserve Merlot

Penfolds Bin 128
Created in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 is a regional wine that reflects the unique climate and growing conditions of South Australia's Coonawarra district and the relatively elegant style of cool climate Shiraz. From the 1980 vintage, French oak replaced American, highlighting the pepper, spice and floral characteristics that define this style. Since the mid-1980s, a greater attention has been paid to fruit ripeness, resulting in a wine that is fuller in style and structure.
