The palate is complex and fruit-driven, filled with vibrant flavours of blackcurrant and spicy hints, and integrated with a fine-grained tannin structure, ultimately culminating in a clean and lingering climax.

CLOTILDE DAVENNE Chablis Vieilles Vignes Chablis is a superb winegrowing region entirely dedicated to Chardonnay. Clotilde Davenne Chablis comes from the village of Courgis, right next door to her winery in Prehy. Pale in colour with hints of green, the Chablis Vieilles Vignes offers a nice freshness and aromatic nose of fresh fruits, white flowers and dried fruit. The mineral aromas, of flint in particular, make it sing.

Premier Cru Montmain's unique terroir of very stony terrain produces a wine with very pronounced mineral aromas, extraordinary power and excellent ageing potential. This Chardonnay by William Fevre shows great structure with good length. Both accessible and very fresh, it shows fantastic concentration.

Wine by Farr G.C Chardonnay, Geelong The GC Chardonnay is named for Gary Charles Farr who began gold mining in Bannockburn in the 1970s. a complete Chardonnay. The fruit is hand-picked then pressed whole-bunch. The resulting juice and solids are chilled prior to being put on 35% new French oak. Over the following two months, natural fermentation will occur with a little less stirring to promotes the malolactic fermentation. After racking, fining and a little filtering, the wine is bottled nearly a year later. Those at the Farr winery call it a complete Chardonnay.
