Beneath this beautiful landscape lies a limestone ridge and contrasting soils which provide the perfect conditions for crafting great wine. On the nose, lifted raspberry, spice with subtle oak that leads to a generous mouth full of dark berry flavours. Long gentle, puckery tannins provides a long finish. Coonawarra Cabernet at its finest, showcasing the house style of Power and Elegance from St Hugo. Floral and ripe fruit, with balanced fine tannins in support of a generous regional and varietal fruit profile. Generous and structural at its core with varietally assertive tannins complimented by a floral dark red fruit spectrum, enhanced with subtle refined oak.

This Cabernet Shiraz blend from Majella, icons of Coonawarra, is all about bright youthful fruit. Made with little oak influence, the upfront mulberry and blackcurrant characters are supported by fine lingering tannins.

The Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon has an impenetrable black colour; it is very fragrant with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, fresh tobacco and sweet pepper. The palate is intense and concentrated with a fine structure showing abundant blackberry, cassis, minerals and light toasty oak notes that combine to give a long persistent finish

The wine shows blackcurrant, cherries, lavender and violet aromas along with varietal, brambly earthy herbaceous characters.On the palate the wine shows dark plum and cherry fruit, savoury cocoa and earthy spice and subtle woody herbs- bay and thyme. It is full flavoured with chewy yet fine tannins and a lingering finish. The fruit was fermented on skins for eight days before being pressed and transferred to barrel for 18 months maturation.
