In 1843, Dr Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. McKelvey Estate continue to produce wines punching above their weight and with Keith Tulloch as winemaker, its easy to see why. In the glass: Delicate pale straw with green highlights. On the nose: Energetic and zesty white and yellow melon with cashew and fine oak spice. On the palate: Finely structured with elegant white fig and white peach, dry, minerally acidity and long, fresh acidity.

Aura Rosé is a refeshing light and bright. The palate bursts with fresh strawberries and cream, berry compote and cinnamon. French toast with a creamy and textural finish.

This Pinot Noir from the home of the long white cloud offers ripe red berry fruit aromas of cherries and vanilla with spicy undertones. The palate is rich in flavours of cinnamon, rhubarb, tamarilllo and red cherries shine through. The tannins are velvety with a long finish. Ideally suited to drink with figs, swiss cheese and dark chocolate.

This wine opens with aromas of honeysuckle and tropical fruits such as paw paw. There is a touch of complexity from the wild fermentation, just enough to let you know that under the pretty facade is a fun and adventurous wine. The palate is an alluring combination of fresh fruits, spices such as white pepper and just enough wildness to keep you coming back for another glass. It finishes with a fresh cleansing line of citrus zest.

Early Harvest wines are created from selected parcels of flavour ripe grapes harvested from early ripening regions in South Eastern Australia. This fruit, coupled with careful winemaking, creates a uniquely refreshing wine which is at least 25% lighter in alcohol and calories. The fresh fruit flavours of Semillon and cut grass and lychee flavours of Sauvignon Blanc are balanced by the crisp dry finish, providing an easy drinking style of wine.

Fresh and light to finish, yet a lovely balanced sweetness carries tropical notes to your pallate. This wine is a perfect match for desserts such as passionfruit bavarios or a summer fruit trifle. Also a great match with spicy Thai curries.
