A much-loved South Aussie red, this blended red is rich in black fruits that fill the mouth. Raspberry, red currant and plum fruits are balanced with fine sandy tannins and cedar oak. This medium to full bodied wine has a lovely balance and style in true Church Block character. Church Block was the first wine the late Greg Trott produced under the Wirra Wirra label back in 1972. He took the name from one of the original vineyards, which runs next to the small Bethany Church (Est 1854) across the road from Wirra Wirras century old ironstone cellars. Over four decades, the Church Block label has become an Australian favourite. Gold Medal | 2016 Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada Wine Competition.

Who doesn’t love a little bit of low-yielding, full-bodied, South Australian cabernet? We know we do. Sourced from Pirramimma’s old cabernet vineyards in McLaren Vale, luscious blackberry, blueberry, mint and capsicum notes hum alongside cedar and toasted almond notes from time in oak. Secondary characters of black olive, tobacco and rosemary are starting to poke through as well. No need to rush though as this has another decade plus of development left in the bottle. For now or for the future, the choice is yours.

This 5 Star producer is owned by a family that has been farming since the early 1900s. Run by Roslyn Forbes and sons Steven and Andrew, Zilzie scored Double Gold at the China Wine and Spirit Awards for this super approachable Cabernet. Blackberry, cassis, black cherries and briny olive characters offer a deep layered flavour profile. Powerful yet light on its feet. James Halliday has noted that Zilzie wines “consistently far exceed expectations, given their enticing prices”.

McLaren Vale is famous for its small, family-owned, small batch wineries that produce, big, rich reds of incredible richness and intensity. Ben Riggs has hand-crafted a delicious Shiraz Cabernet Merlot blend here that pays homage to the three-spiked prickle that can be found in the McLaren Vale region and the fact that it's hard to ignore. This unctuous red blend is also extremely hard to ignore with its seamless varietal integration that produces a wine full of richness and opulence. Ripe, dark berry fruits courtesy of Merlot along with spice elements from the Shiraz and a firm, but balanced structure from the Cabernet all come together superbly.

Shingleback have always been known for producing quality McLaren Vale wines at some fantastic prices. Take Red Knot for example! Here they re-launched their estate wines under the 'Davey Estate' label and concentrate on single sites. This Cabernet is wonderfully youthful and full of vibrancy. Fresh black fruit with roasted spice and superbly balanced tannins.

With Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot is included in the wine for which adds a beautiful fragrance and minty undertones resulting in a very generous style.
