Grapes from Marlborough have produced a crisp Chardonnay with flavours of citrus, nectarine and pineapple and a lovely toasty finish.

The first New Zealand winery to produce Sauvignon Blanc delivers a classic wine full of tropical fruit and citrus. Dr Forrest and his wife Brigid (also a doctor) use techniques in the vineyard to allow the grapes to obtain maximum flavour, but keep sugar (and therefore alcohol) levels down. No fancy winery or laboratory tricks – just some very clever canopy management and timing as to when they pick. This delicious lower alcohol (9.5%) Rosé melds Pinot Noir with the white grape Arneis to create a delightfully fresh and lively pink, bursting with fresh strawberries, ripe red cherry, and just a hint of aromatic herbs like sage and thyme.

Another terrific white wine to come from New Zealands Marlborough winemaking region. Fresh apple, pear and mandarin flavours with a little touch of spice make this a great match for a coconut and coriander packed curry.

In times past, giant, flightless Moa roamed the fertile soils of Marlborough. Big, bold and totally unique as were the legendary Moa, so are the flavours of our Land of Giants wines. The Pinot Gris is rich in aromas of pears, white peach and blossoms. The wine is zesty but balanced with lovely fruit flavours and a lingering finish. Perfect with seafood dishes and creamy pastas.

This Marlborough drop is sourced from a single vineyard in the Awatere region. Its balance of citrus aromas and Granny Smith apple flavours, make it easy to pair with foods such as shellfish, asparagus or margherita pizza. Delish!

The Ned is a Kiwi Savvy with a more mineral accent, offering structure indicative of Marlborough region. The tropical elements still shine gooseberries aplenty and a dainty touch of fruit sweetness in the finish. The citrus fuelled aromatic thread that dominates the nose carries through to the palate with concentrated flavours of mandarin and musky pink grapefruit.
